IT Support Technician

About the Role:

I am working with a growing technology-driven organisation seeking an IT Systems Technician to support both internal teams and external clients. This is a varied, hands-on role covering IT support, systems administration, onboarding, and customer engagement within a fast-paced operational environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining systems, supporting users, onboarding new clients, and continuously improving processes and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide IT systems, software, and hardware support across the business
  • Own and manage the IT Service Desk, ensuring tickets are handled efficiently
  • Support system administration, troubleshooting, and maintenance
  • Onboard new clients, including system setup, data integration, and configuration
  • Integrate customer platforms with internal systems
  • Deliver system demonstrations and training to both internal users and customers
  • Produce reports and analyse data using tools such as Excel and Power BI
  • Support customer service queries related to systems and technology
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement
  • Create SOPs and contribute to the internal knowledge base
Skills & Responsibilities:

Essential:

  • Strong general IT support skills
  • Good understanding of IT infrastructure and systems
  • Strong Excel skills, including formulas and reporting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer-focused with a professional and confident approach
  • Well organised and able to work under pressure

Desirable:

  • Previous IT support experience (2+ years advantageous)
  • Experience with ticketing systems (e.g. Freshdesk or similar)
  • Exposure to e-commerce or web platforms (e.g. online selling systems)
  • Experience producing reports using Power BI
  • Awareness or interest in AI or automation technologies
