The Company Nigel Wright Group are pleased to be working with an established and fast growing UK SaaS business as they look to appoint a Marketing Development Representative (MDR). They offer a collaborative, people first culture, a flexible hybrid working model, and a clear commitment to continuous learning and development.This is a hybrid role, requiring a minimum of two days per week in the Newcastle area office. The successful candidate will play a key role in qualifying inbound marketing leads, generating outbound pipeline, and working closely with Sales and Marketing to accelerate new business growth.The Role
  • Act as the link between Marketing and Sales, qualifying inbound MQLs and passing quality opportunities to the BDM team 
  • Generate new pipeline through targeted outbound activity across phone, email and LinkedIn 
  • Deliver a consistent volume of Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) against agreed targets 
  • Run effective discovery and qualification conversations aligned to ICP criteria 
  • Create, test and optimise outreach sequences for inbound and outbound activity 
  • Work closely with Marketing and BDMs to share insight and ensure strong opportunity handover 
  • Use modern sales technology and AI enabled tools to work efficiently and at scale 
  • Maintain accurate CRM data and continuously test new approaches to improve performance
The Person
  • At least 6 months’ experience in a customer facing or sales development role (ideally B2B) 
  • Strong communicator with the ability to listen, probe and uncover customer needs 
  • Resilient and motivated, comfortable working to targets in a fast paced environment 
  • Organised self starter, able to work autonomously while collaborating with wider teams 
  • Confident engaging stakeholders at all levels, including senior decision makers 
  • Comfortable using CRM and sales tools, with a data driven, curious mindset and appetite for learning
