Power Platform Specialist

Company

We’re helping a well-established UK business find an experienced Power Platform specialist to take ownership of an important suite of business applications.

This is a good opportunity for someone who enjoys speaking to users, understanding what they actually need and then getting hands-on to build the solution. You’ll work mainly with Power Apps, Dataverse and Power Automate, alongside integrations with Business Central and other internal and third-party systems.

It isn’t a role where you’ll simply pick up tickets or maintain somebody else’s work. You’ll have the freedom to suggest better ways of doing things, improve existing applications and help shape how the Power Platform is used across the business.

Role

  • Taking ownership of the development and ongoing improvement of a key retail Power App
  • Meeting with users to understand problems, gather requirements and agree sensible solutions
  • Building and improving apps using Power Apps and the wider Power Platform
  • Creating workflows and automations using Power Automate
  • Working with Dataverse and integrating Power Platform solutions with Business Central
  • Connecting applications with internal and third-party systems using APIs
  • Helping the business simplify processes and reduce manual work
  • Investigating application issues and getting involved when more technical support is needed
  • Making sure solutions are secure, reliable and properly documented
  • Helping shape the longer-term approach to Power Platform and business applications

Person

You’ll already have strong commercial experience with Microsoft Power Platform and will be comfortable owning solutions from the initial conversation through to delivery.

You’ll probably have experience with:

  • Power Apps, including Canvas and/or model-driven apps
  • Power Automate
  • Dataverse
  • APIs and systems integration
  • Working directly with stakeholders and translating requirements into working solutions
  • Supporting and improving live business applications

Experience integrating Power Platform with Business Central would be particularly useful. Exposure to Azure integration services, retail, logistics or other operationally busy environments would also be a bonus.

More than anything, they’re looking for someone practical and proactive who can talk comfortably with the business, challenge ideas where necessary and then get on with delivering the solution.
