Senior Full Stack Developer

The Role My client is looking  for a Senior Full Stack Developer to lead from the front, on all fronts, delivering high-quality code, driving technical standards, and acting as a role model for the development team.You’ll be joining a growing team at an exciting but pivotal point time for the Company, with rapid growth plans in place that are dependent on key deliverables in the development team’s pipeline.You will be working hands-on with an ecommerce website and bespoke internal tools written with a L.I.T.T.R stack (Laravel, Inertia, Tailwind, TypeScript, and React), deployed in a serverless environment in AWS via Laravel Vapor.If you know Laravel like the back of your hand, you know what it takes to build user-friendly, accessible and performant websites and applications, and you know your way around cloud hosting services, chances are you’re exactly what we’re looking for.Role Responsibilities
  • Write, review and optimise full-stack code on our bespoke ecommerce websites and bespoke internal systems, all using a L.I.T.T.R stack
  • Ensure all code is well tested both via automated testing and manual testing
  • Own complex areas of the platform and ensure delivery is robust and scalable
  • Support other members in the team, particularly juniors, where needed and to keep projects on track
  • Run structured code reviews to ensure quality, consistency, and learning
  • Build strong working relationships with stakeholders in the business that will provide key input into how they want and need internal systems to work for their day-to-day work to be as efficient as possible
  • Support database and wider infrastructure design and performance tuning
Essential for the role
  • A minimum of 5 years of recent experience with Laravel
  • A minimum of 5 years of recent React experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of TypeScript experience
  • Strong experience with Git, CI/CD and working in fast-paced environments
  • Strong experience working with AWS
  • Confident in mentoring junior/mid-level developers and providing structured and constructive feedback
  • Excellent communication skills, including cross-team and offshore collaboration
Nice to have
  • Ecommerce experience, either in terms of past employment or from a software perspective such as Magento, Shopify, etc.
  • Storybook, building reusable component libraries, and WCAG 2.2 web accessibility guidelines
  • Integrations with payment providers, warehouse management systems, PIMs, etc.
  • Automated testing tools such as Playwright, Selenium, does.qa, etc.
  • Load testing tools such as Locust, JMeter, etc.
