Test Lead
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced tester to take the lead in shaping how quality is built into digital products. You’ll be the first dedicated test specialist in the team, so you’ll have real freedom to define how testing is done—from tooling and automation to standards and ways of working. Working closely with developers, product managers, and delivery leads, you’ll ensure systems are robust, reliable, and fit for purpose in a regulated industry.
This role goes beyond writing scripts and running checks. You’ll embed quality into every stage of development, helping the team move faster and smarter. A big part of the mission will be moving towards a test automation-first mindset, so we’re looking for someone who’s confident in leading that shift.
PersonYou’re hands-on and strategic, equally comfortable getting into the detail of automation code and influencing how things are done across the wider team. You might already be a senior tester ready for that next step, or you could be in a test leadership role but looking for more freedom to make your mark.
You’ll bring:
-
Strong experience in both manual and automated testing
-
Confidence in test automation tools and languages (e.g. Java, Selenium, Azure DevOps)
-
A passion for quality and a track record of driving improvements
-
Great communication skills—able to work closely with technical and non-technical colleagues
-
Ideally, experience in a regulated environment like healthcare, finance, or government
