Main duties of the job

The Opportunity

As Business Intelligence Analyst, you will be in a pivotal role at the heart of our organisation.

you will support directorates and senior leaders by delivering meaningful intelligence on:

  • service performance and contract delivery
  • population health trends and equity
  • utilisation, outcomes and impact.

Your work will inform strategic decisions, shape neighbourhood-based services, and help Nimbuscare clearly demonstrate its value and readiness to take on greater responsibility within an integrated care system.

This role is essential in helping us articulate our own story, providing evidence of our readiness to operate services in an integrated care system, taking on greater strategic and financial responsibility for our local health and care services.

What Youll Do

Business Intelligence & Performance Reporting

  • Design and deliver clear, accurate dashboards and reports across clinical and non-clinical services.
  • Monitor KPIs, SLAs and outcomes across multiple contracts.
  • Develop standardised tools and templates to support consistent, high-quality reporting.

Insight to Drive Service Improvement

  • Provide trend analysis, forecasting and scenario modelling to inform planning and transformation.
  • Work with operational and clinical teams to understand pathways, identify variation and recommend improvements.
  • Deliver deep-dive analysis on population health, access and outcomes to support neighbourhood strategies.

Data Quality & Governance

  • Maintain high standards of data quality, integrity and validation.
  • Support robust data governance and security processes in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to a single version of truth across the organisation.

Stakeholder Engagement & Storytelling

  • Translate complex data into clear, compelling insight for diverse audiences.
  • Present findings to internal leaders and external partners, including system stakeholders.
  • Build trusted relationships that enable teams to use data confidently to tell their story of impact.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential
  • Advanced skills in data analysis and visualisation tools such as Power BI, Excel, or Tableau.
  • Proficiency in data modelling and querying using SQL or equivalent.
  • Understanding of NHS, Local Authority,
  • Voluntary sector data sets.
Desirable
  • Familiarity with population health management and risk stratification approaches.
  • Knowledge of national policy around Neighbourhood Health and the NHS Long Term Plan.

Experience

Essential
  • Proven experience in a data, performance or business intelligence analyst role (preferably in health, care, or public sector).
  • Experience in designing/assessing performance frameworks and working with service contracts or SLAs.
Desirable
  • Experience working with or in Integrated Care Systems (ICS), Hospital Trust or At scale Primary Care Networks or Group of GP Practices.
  • Experience of delivering insights that support quality improvement (e.g. PDSA cycles, logic models).
