Overview

A leading financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Zscaler Solutions Architect / Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a large-scale strategic transformation programme focused on modernising secure user access across its Trading and Investment Management divisions.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the design, roadmap development, and delivery of a migration programme transitioning desktop trading and investment management users to a Zscaler-based Zero Trust architecture.

This is a highly consultative role suited to an Architect or SME-level professional who enjoys engaging with senior stakeholders, defining technical strategy, and driving delivery across multiple teams. While strong technical credibility is essential, the primary focus is on architecture, design, governance, and stakeholder management, rather than hands-on engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of a large-scale migration to a Zscaler Zero Trust environment.
• Define and develop the strategic roadmap for user access transformation across Trading and Investment Management functions.
• Act as the technical SME for Zscaler technologies, providing guidance and best-practice recommendations.
• Design secure access solutions leveraging Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) principles.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, Networking, and End User Computing teams to ensure successful programme delivery.
• Engage with senior business stakeholders, including front-office trading teams, to gather requirements and drive adoption.
• Produce High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), architecture documentation, and implementation standards.
• Provide technical leadership and oversight to engineering and delivery teams.
• Support automation and Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives to improve deployment consistency and operational efficiency.
• Facilitate workshops, technical discussions, and architecture/design reviews across multiple workstreams.

Required Experience

• Proven experience operating as a Solutions Architect, Security Architect, or Technical SME within large enterprise environments.
• Strong expertise across Zscaler technologies, including:
• Zscaler Private Access (ZPA)
• Zscaler Client Connector (ZCC)
• Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA)
• Experience designing and delivering large-scale secure access transformation programmes.
• Strong understanding of modern network security and Zero Trust architectures.
• Experience defining technical roadmaps, architecture standards, and target-state designs.
• Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive technical direction across multiple teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging directly with business users and senior leadership.
