Performance and Insight Business Partner

Join a well-established Housing Association in a key role that will help shape performance, insight and decision-making across the organisation, on a fixed-term contract until March 2027. This Performance & Insight Business Partner position offers the chance to work closely with senior stakeholders, using data, research and insight to support strategic decision-making and continuous improvement across the organisation.
You’ll be translating complex performance information, customer research and data into clear, meaningful insight that can influence decision-making and improve services for customers. This is a rewarding role for someone who enjoys working with data and technology, whilst also being confident building relationships, challenging stakeholders and managing projects.
We’d love to hear from anyone with a background as a Performance & Insight Business Partner, Performance Manager, Performance Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, Insight Manager, Data Analyst, or experience in performance management, business intelligence, data analysis or customer research in a similar setting, especially if you're confident working with both qualitative and quantitative data and enjoy using insight to drive improvement.

As a Performance & Insight Business Partner, you will be:
· Developing and delivering performance reports, dashboards, scorecards and briefings for colleagues, senior leaders, Board and committee members
· Analysing performance against targets, trends and benchmarks, explaining material variation and identifying emerging risks, opportunities and areas requiring management attention
· Translating complex data, performance information and customer research findings into clear recommendations that support strategic and operational decision-making
· Leading and supporting customer research projects, including both qualitative and quantitative research
· Working with service leads and data owners to develop and maintain meaningful KPIs that support organisational priorities and continuous improvement
· Supporting regulatory and statutory reporting by coordinating accurate evidence and meeting submission and publication deadlines
· Working closely with ICT and internal teams to manage data and technology-related projects
· Managing relationships with external partners and account managers, keeping projects on track both with and without dedicated project management support

I’d love to speak to anyone who has:
· Substantial experience in performance reporting, business intelligence, data analysis, insight or a closely related discipline
· Experience of both qualitative and quantitative research, ideally including customer research
· The ability to translate complex data, performance information and technical concepts into clear recommendations
· Demonstrable experience of influencing, advising and constructively challenging senior leaders and stakeholders
· Experience developing and maintaining performance frameworks, scorecards, dashboards or management reports
· Confidence with technology and the ability to work with ICT and manage data-related projects
· Experience managing relationships with external partners and account managers, ensuring projects are delivered effectively and to deadline
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to accuracy and detail
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present performance information to senior leaders and non-technical audiences
· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and reporting/data visualisation tools; Power BI experience is highly desirable

Key requirements for this Performance & Insight Business Partner role:
· A maximum one-month notice period, with the successful candidate required to start as soon as possible and hit the ground running
· Proven experience in performance reporting, business intelligence, data analysis, insight or a related discipline
· Experience managing data, research or analytical projects
· Experience working with and influencing senior stakeholders
· A relevant qualification or equivalent practical experience in data analysis, business intelligence, statistics, performance management or a related subject
· Knowledge of the social housing operating and regulatory context is desirable but not essential

The role is offering the following benefits:
· £56,000 per annum

This role is offering a salary of £56,000 per annum.

Travel & Location
This role is based in Solihull working for a well-established Housing Association with around 30,000 homes across the region.
The organisation operates across a range of communities throughout the West Midlands, with the role providing the opportunity to work with stakeholders across the wider organisation.
