NetSuite Systems Accountant (Finance Systems and BI)

Full-time onsite – Central London Head Office

Up to £65,000 per annual depending on experience

This role is based full-time at our Central London Head Office near Piccadilly Circus. We expect employees to work onsite 5 days per week.

About the role:

We are strengthening our finance systems capability to improve control, accuracy, and decision-making across a multi-brand hospitality group operating in the UK and internationally.

The NetSuite Systems Accountant will take ownership of the day-to-day configuration, maintenance, and improvement of our NetSuite ERP environment, ensuring it supports a fast, accurate and controlled month-end close process across multiple entities.

This role will also support the development of management reporting and BI outputs (primarily Power BI), helping the finance team and operations leaders access clear, consistent performance insight across sites, brands, and group KPIs.

This is a hands-on role for a strong systems accountant who understands finance processes deeply and is confident working inside NetSuite and reporting tools.

Key Responsibilities:

NetSuite Systems Ownership

• Act as primary in-house administrator for NetSuite across UK and international entities
• Maintain and improve chart of accounts, segments, subsidiaries, and reporting structures
• Support month-end close process including journals, accruals, reconciliations, and period controls
• Manage system workflows including approvals, posting rules, and user access controls
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data across GL, AP, AR, and fixed assets modules
• Support intercompany processes and multi-entity consolidation requirements
• Work with external NetSuite partners on configuration changes, enhancements, and issue resolution

Finance Systems & Process Improvement

• Identify and implement improvements to finance processes within NetSuite
• Reduce manual workarounds and spreadsheet dependency through better system design
• Support automation of recurring journals, reporting, and reconciliation processes
• Ensure strong financial controls and audit trail integrity within the system
• Support rollout of new finance processes as the group scales

Reporting & BI Support (Power BI / Reporting Layer)

• Support development and maintenance of Power BI dashboards and management reports
• Build and maintain standard reporting packs including:
• Daily / weekly trading performance
• P&L by site, brand, and group
• Labour cost and productivity reporting
• Sales mix and margin analysis
• Ensure data consistency between NetSuite and reporting outputs
• Support finance team in improving reporting accuracy, speed, and usability
• Work with internal stakeholders to refine reporting requirements into practical outputs

Systems Integration & Data Support

• Support integration of NetSuite with key operational systems (EPOS, payroll, scheduling tools)
• Help troubleshoot data flow issues between systems and finance outputs
• Maintain awareness of upstream data quality and its impact on reporting
• Liaise with external system providers and implementation partners where needed
• Prepare and data for system migration
• Review data post load as part of data Migration

Stakeholder Support

• Act as a key point of contact for finance team system queries and support
• Provide training and guidance on NetSuite processes and reporting tools
• Work closely with Finance, Operations, and external partners to resolve issues quickly
• Support CFO and Finance leadership with ad hoc analysis and system-based insights

Key Requirements:

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with NetSuite (finance modules essential)
• Solid accounting knowledge (month-end close, P&L, balance sheet, controls)
• Experience producing or supporting management reporting
• Exposure to Power BI or similar BI tools (dashboard building desirable)
• Advanced Excel skills and strong data handling capability
• Experience in multi-entity or multi-site businesses

Experience:

• 3–6+ years in systems accounting, finance systems, or hybrid accounting roles
• Experience in hospitality, retail, FMCG, or multi-site environment strongly preferred
• Exposure to ERP environments (NetSuite highly desirable)
• Experience working with operational data (sales, labour, EPOS systems) beneficial
• Experience working with external implementation partners or consultants
