IT Manager / Workplace Technology Manager

IT Manager / Workplace Technology Manager

Location: London (Hybrid, 1-3 days on site) Salary: £100,000 to £120,000 base, plus package

About the role

A venture-backed technology company whose clients are banks and financial institutions is hiring a IT Manager / Workplace Technology Manager to modernise its IT function and put AI and automation at the centre of how the business works.

This is a hands-on leadership role with real autonomy for someone who has transformed a workplace with AI before and wants to do it again. You will reshape how IT is delivered, become the trusted internal advisor on AI tooling for every team, and set the standard for a modern, efficient, AI-enabled workplace, leading a small, internationally distributed team.

What you'll do

  • Redesign IT service delivery to be faster, more proactive and more consultative.
  • Make automation and AI core to the function. Anything done twice should be automated.
  • Act as the trusted internal advisor on AI tooling and workflows for teams across the business.
  • Own the end-user equipment fleet and lifecycle, including provisioning, MDM and endpoint management.
  • Own core corporate IT infrastructure: identity and access, networking and collaboration platforms.
  • Lead data hygiene and storage rationalisation, with data handling held to the standard a financial services client base demands and aligned to GDPR.
  • Lead and coach a small, internationally distributed IT team.

What you'll bring

  • IT leadership in a scaling SaaS or technology business, with a track record of moving IT from reactive to proactive.
  • Real experience transforming a workplace with AI and automation, with measurable results.
  • Confidence advising non-IT teams on AI tooling and workflows.
  • Strong ownership of end-user fleets and corporate IT infrastructure.
  • Experience leading a distributed team across more than one location.
  • Comfort working to the security and data standards of a business that serves banks and financial institutions.
  • Candidates from Head of Infrastructure, welcome where IT and workplace leadership credentials are equally strong.

Package

£100,000 to £120,000 base, plus package. Hybrid, 1 to 3 days on site in London.
