Cyber Security Solutions Consultant

As a Cyber Security Solutions Consultant, you’ll sit at the intersection of technology and sales, acting as both a trusted technical advisor and a strategic partner to clients. This is a genuinely hybrid role, blending deep technical understanding with consultative sales ability. You’ll help customers make sense of complex solutions, guide them through the buying journey, and ensure every engagement leads to a solution that’s not only effective but deliverable and sustainable. Your role as Cyber Security Solutions Consultant You’ll work hand-in-hand with the Sales Team and the wider Solutions team, supporting customers throughout the full pre-sales cycle. Your work will span:
- Engaging directly with customers through introductory and discovery calls, uncovering their business challenges, technical requirements, and future goals.
- Take ownership of solution design and scoping, building accurate Bills of Materials, proposals, and scopes of work that align with customer needs and Nomios service capabilities.
- Lead technical demonstrations and proof of concepts that bring our solutions to life, helping customers clearly see their value and fit.
- Manage the technical elements of RFPs and RFIs, developing customer-focused responses that strengthen our competitive position.
- Partner closely with the Sales team to shape and execute sales strategies, combining technical credibility with commercial awareness to guide opportunities to success.
- Stay ahead of the curve by researching cyber security market trends, exploring new cyber security technologies, and achieving relevant certifications that enhance your expertise.
- Share knowledge across the business by training and enabling colleagues, helping sales teams build confidence in our technologies and solutions.
- Contribute to Nomios’ broader strategy and messaging, collaborating with marketing and the sales teams to showcase our technical capabilities and subject matter expertise.
- Proven experience designing and delivering cybersecurity solutions from one or more of the following vendors - Fortinet, Palo Alto, Juniper, or Netskop etc.
- A consultative mindset, able to translate complex technical issues into clear business outcomes.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of modern security architectures, including SIEM, SOAR, and Managed Security Services.
- Exposure to advanced security domains such as DDoS protection, Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Identity and Access Management (IDAM), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Mobile Device Management (MDM), and Vulnerability Management.
- Location: This is a hybrid role, requiring attendance at our Basingstoke office (free hot & cold drinks, breakfast items, snacks, lunches, and regular takeaway Fridays are provided to all staff in the office!)
- Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm, with occasional evening or weekend work if required
- Travel: The role includes travel within the UK, with some overnight stays, and occasional international trips if required
- Requirements: You will be required to attend customer sites across the UK and must therefore have a full UK driving licence
