Software Developer - Power Platform

The Role We're looking for an experienced Software Developer to join a small, fast-moving Agile team delivering a major digital transformation project within a government environment. This is a hands-on role focused on building and improving internal platforms using Microsoft Power Platform technologies, including Canvas Apps, Power Apps, and Power Automate.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain applications using Canvas Apps and Power Apps

• Translate business needs into scalable technical solutions

• Contribute to Agile ceremonies and iterative delivery

• Ensure development aligns with GDS (Government Digital Service) standards

• Support integration with existing systems and data sources

• Maintain documentation and share technical knowledge across the team

What We're Looking For

• Strong experience building applications in Microsoft Power Platform
• Hands-on knowledge of Power Apps, particularly Canvas Apps
• Familiarity with Agile ways of working and the GDS service standard
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Able to work effectively in a remote team with occasional in-person meetings

Nice to Have

• Experience with Power Automate, Dataverse, and Microsoft 365

• Knowledge of secure coding practices and data protection principles

• Prior experience working on public sector or government projects
