You'll use your clinical expertise to rigorously test system functionality, workflows, and documentation, helping to shape a solution that truly meets the needs of frontline teams.You'll work closely with a multidisciplinary Testing Team and collaborate with clinicians across the Trust to support user acceptance testing, configuration validation, and deployment readiness. Your insights will directly influence the quality and safety of the system, and you'll act as a clinical ambassador--promoting engagement, adoption, and continuous improvement.

Main duties of the job
- Conduct clinical testing of all aspects of the EPR programme technology, supporting its implementation and ensuring systems are clinically and operationally fit for purpose.
- Collaborate closely with the Testing Team (clinical and technical testers) and support End User Testers to complete testing activities in line with programme objectives.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external contacts, using clinical networks to inform configuration and testing decisions.
- Support the engagement and coordination of internal clinicians and administrators as End User Testers.
- Assist with User Acceptance Testing, working alongside clinical and administrative colleagues.
- Follow the Testing Strategy and Plan for the EPR Programme and its projects/workstreams, meeting all deadlines set by programme and testing management.
- Complete all required deployment tests and support problem management to resolve defects and exceptions.
- Contribute to post-Go-Live support as directed.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, acting as a clinical testing champion and addressing concerns promptly.
- Work autonomously to plan and organise workload, meeting multiple and conflicting deadlines.
- Keep documentation fit for purpose and input data accurately into spreadsheets, Word documents, or PowerPoint presentations.
- Act as a clinical ambassador for the Trust's EPR Programme.

Person Specification
Qualifications
- Degree level qualification or equivalent level of knowledge attained through a recognised training in a clinical discipline and equivalent proven relevant experience.
- Must be a registered health care practitioner with a valid registration from the relevant professional body
- Relevant EPR/software testing qualification
- Digital Clinical Safety training courses provided by NHS Digital
Experience
- Previous NHS experience working as a registered healthcare practitioner
Skills
- Ability to resolve problems and make decisions based on complex facts or situations using the appropriate analysis, interpretation, or comparison of a range of options.
- Ability to follow comprehensive test plans and scripts and record results accurately and in a standardised way.
- Proficiency in some testing methodologies, including unit testing, integration testing, system testing, or user acceptance testing.
Knowledge
- Professional, clinical knowledge acquired through training to degree or equivalent.
- Intermediate knowledge of IT systems and software programmes such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Other
- Ability to travel to Trust locations and sites as required on an occasional basis
