Digital Training Specialist
Job summary
We are seeking highly skilled and motivated Digital Training Specialists to join our New Electronic Patient Record (EPR) Programme. The successful candidates will be responsible for the successful implementation of major and complex projects that are key elements of the Trust's vision, values, and strategy. This role involves engaging a wide range of stakeholders and ensuring effective coordination with other interdependent work-streams, projects, and programmes.
You will be based at County Hall, Norwich with travel to other Trust sites where necessary.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will sit within the business-as-usual organisational structure to provide a consistent, creative and professional digital training service to end users for any digitalsystems or services supporting the business of the Trust and external customers, including Microsoft applications and clinical system software. This will include the delivery of training in classroom and online environments and other blended ways as appropriate.
To encourage the accurate and timely recording of clinical data throughout and to promote good practice in providing a confidential service in accordance with the Data Protection Act and having knowledge of process flows and care pathways within the community which will incorporate national and local standards.

Financial
1. Responsible for adhering to the Trusts standing financial instructionsStrategic
2. The post holder is expected to manage the development and coordination of skills/application training in providing an effective delivery of digital training that meets both national and localrequirements across the Health Community.
3. Incorporate relevant NHS information governance, Trust policies and procedures into training programmes
Commercial
4. Deputise as training manager at local and national meetings in order to foster relationships with academic institutions and training organisations.
Operational
5. Responsible for implementing best practice clinical and business training principles and protocols across the community
6. Responsible for providing training to end-users across the Trust that supports the business of the Trust, using whatever recognised technique best serves its and the end users needs.
7. Assist in the development and planning for the Trusts digital skills training plan with theDigital Training Manager for provision of Microsoft application training courses to meet the communitys requirements
8. Develop and adapt training materials and lesson plans in-line with and following NHS Education and Training standards
9. Train NHS staff on a range of simple and complex electronic patient record systems,Information management, technology systems and Microsoft products
10. Delivery of training of other digital software packages utilised by the Trust or new technologies that may be deployed
11. Develop expert level of understanding of all business and clinical applications to support a series of teaching and training programmes to meet both clinical and business requirements that will bring about improvements and efficiencies in quality and care
12. Undertake project work or special tasks in accordance with business requirements, managing the cycle of testing on the training environment to support the cycle of planned and ad hoc software releases, establishing test protocols and end user acceptance
13. Provision of second line business and clinical training support to end users to troubleshoot and resolve problems
14. Plan new training courses to meet the organisational requirements that have been agreed by the Trust, external customers and the Digital Training Manager
15. Development of training materials and resources, including some of the production work,and the delivery of alternative teaching methods and media including blended learning,including e-learning
16. Deliver end user training delivery of 1:1 training & coaching
17. Creation of evaluation and assessment tools Engagement
18. Knowledge of process flows and care pathways within the community which will incorporate national and local standards.
19. Responsible for the entire learning cycle for all members of staff, from evaluation of their needs to the measurement of their competencies
20. Proactively suggest changes to working practices or policies which will impact beyond own area of activity
21. Proactively engage with partner organisation to make sure that stakeholder training needs are developed and integrated into the training environment.
22. Engage and take part in local and national user groups with various stakeholders across the Health Community.
Administration
23. Develop and maintain lesson plans, course notes and any other training material
24. Produce reports when required, access, create and update records within the information database which is used within the department to manage the training administration around training.
25. Responsibilities for financial and physical resources covering the careful use and security around the training facilities and equipment within these facilities including supervision of training sessions and maintaining the learning environment
26. Maintenance of accurate training records.
Management27. Support and feed into the digital training plan and the schedule of work.
28. Deputize for the Digital Training Manager when absent or when required, as appropriate.
29. Management of learning pathways.
30. Delivery of Train the Trainer programmes.
31. Responsible for maintaining the appropriate training delivery standards.
32. Attend mandatory / statutory training as identified in Trust policy.
33. To partake in the Trusts appraisal/Personal Development Plan system.
34. Responsible for adherence to data management policies and procedures.
35. Keep training materials updated, and quality checked.
Person Specification
Qualifications
- A recognised formal training qualification (e.g. TAP or COLF) or relevant experience.
- Prince 2 Foundation Qualification
- E-Learning Training Qualification
Experience
- Recent experience in delivering training in classroom and online environments.
- Evaluation of training outcomes and developments of training intervention for trainers
- Usage of clinical information systems to support delivery of training.
- Experience in designing and delivering training to groups or Application Form / Interview / References JD Ver.3.0 June 2024 Page 8 of 12 individuals taking into account sometimes complex and conflicting information around the experience and role of the target audience and the nature of system and the tasks
Knowledge
