Commercial Financial Analyst - PropTech

Our client is an established market-leading property and technology service provider which is digitising the complex process of buying, selling, renting and renovating housing in the UK. A Certified B-Corp, Clients are public sector organisations and real estate investors. The company is now looking for an experienced Financial Analyst as they take their prop-tech platform to a wider B2B market beyond the public sector markets they are familiar with. There are also future ambitions to roll the platform out to a wider B2C market. The company is at a stage of significant scale up with contracts secured to deliver a 5-fold increase in services over the next 2 years.

The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Financial Analyst to work alongside a team of commercial individuals who take pride in their work and always go the extra mile. Our client is seeking a commercially minded Finance Analyst to join their growing finance team. Working closely with the Acquisitions, Transactions and Operations teams this role will partner heavily with each area and be a trusted partner for all finance related matters. This role will contribute to financial performance during an exciting phase of growth. You will have a good technical skillset, be engaging and be confident in all aspects of the P&L. You will own the billing process, the relevant forecast and budget process for the above teams. This role would suit someone with intermediate to advanced excel skills and someone who is used to working in a fast-paced environment, has a strong character, able to prioritise their own workload is the type of person that would fit in well to the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a trusted partner to the Acquisitions, Transactions and Operations Teams relating to all P&L areas
  • Prepare weekly billings for operational teams and share intel relating to timing vs plan and forecast
  • Business Partnering with Inter departmental staff
  • Prepare and drive the business partnering from finance relating to all commercial teams and understand the drivers of Margin movement
  • Own and build the forecast and budget process
  • Develop close relationships with other members of the finance team ie the Financial Controller and Finance Manager and support team in India
  • Be part of the transactional services and assist with due diligence
  • Intercompany Recharges
  • Prepare year on year analyses
  • Ad-hoc duties as instructed and required

Experience & Skills

  • Part Qualified Finalist/Newly Qualifed Accountant ACCA/CIMA or Qualified by experience
  • Real Estate/Property or related B2B sector experience - preferable (not essentail)
