Pharmacy Storekeeper CIC - Band 2
Job summary
We are looking for a motivated individual to join the Pharmacy Team at North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation (NCIC) Trust on the Cumberland Infirmary Site as a Pharmacy Storekeeper. This post will receive all pharmacy goods for the department in a reliable, organised and methodical manner, with the support of the Pharmacy Procurement team.
Main duties of the job
The job holder will act as a Pharmacy storekeeper to provide goods receipt, storekeeping and stock control within the pharmacy department.
Main purposes:
o check off new deliveries of drugs from suppliers through the pharmacy goods receipt area and to ensure that all new deliveries and their related documentation are processed promptly and efficiently, and manage discrepancies by following operating procedures.
o Reconcile delivery notes at the point of receipt with the orders on the pharmacy stock control system
o Receive certificates of conformity with manufactured products and pass to invoice clerk with the invoices
o Work closely with the purchasing staff and the other members of the pharmacy team to ensure that medicines reach the pharmacy shelves in a timely manner in order to maintain the service.

Person Specification
Qualifications
- GCSE English language and mathematics, or equivalent.
- Accredited pharmacy services module, or have achieved within 12 months.
- Essential IT skills (EITS) or equivalent.
Knowledge and Experience
- Stores management experience
- Standard stock control procedures - all other training will be provided in-house.
- Use of Computers
- Previous hospital or pharmacy experience an advantage
- Customer service

- Completion of appropriate in-house training on appointment - including the pharmacy stock control system.
- Undertake developement for all aspects relevant to the role and for changes in Pharmacy practice and self development.
