Network IT & Digital Lead ME-5 Pathology Network
Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Network IT & Digital Lead to join the ME-5 Pathology Network.
The postholder will be responsible for the strategic development, coordination and implementation of IT & Digital initiatives across the Network, supporting delivery of the NHS England Pathology Transformation Maturity Matrix objectives, with a particular focus on Domain 5 - IT & Digital.
Working collaboratively across member Trusts, the role will lead the development of a long-term IT & Digital strategy that supports interoperability, innovation and service transformation across the Network. The postholder will help ensure the development of robust and integrated digital solutions that support pathology services, clinicians and service users across the region.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a large-scale pathology transformation programme, working with multiple organisations and stakeholders to shape the future of digital pathology services.

Main duties of the job
- Lead the development and implementation of the ME-5 Pathology Network IT & Digital strategy.
- Support delivery of the NHS England Pathology Transformation Maturity Matrix, with a focus on Domain 5 - IT & Digital.
- Work collaboratively with member Trusts to develop interoperable and sustainable digital solutions across the Network.
- Provide strategic leadership and coordination for Network IT & Digital projects and programmes.
- Engage with stakeholders across organisations to support service transformation and innovation.
- Ensure systems and digital developments support high-quality, efficient and resilient pathology services.

Person Specification
Education & Qualifications
- Relevant Masters degree or equivalent level of knowledge, experience and skills
Experience
- Evidence of successful delivery of multi-organisation IT & Digital programmes and projects in a service improvement role
- Experience of planning organisational resources to support programme/ project implementation
Education and Qualifications
- Significant training or experience in IT & Digital programme management.
Key Skills and Abilities
- Excellent communication skills including oral and written with different staff groups
