Clinical Systems Manager
Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinician/non clinician who has a passion for digital transformation of services to join our digital clinical systems team.
To succeed in this role, you will have excellent communication and leadership skills in order to influence digital clinical system practice and promote safety in the design, implementation and use of healthcare technology.
Embedded in Digital Technical Services (DTS), the post holder will play a senior role, reporting to the Deputy Head of Clinical Systems Team, and will be responsible for the management and ongoing development of NHFT Clinical Systems Team (CST). They will ensure that the service has a safe clinical system function that supports the Trust to be a provider of outstanding patient care, via the use of safe and effective digital clinical tools.
The post is full-time (37.5 hours) and permanent and will involve travel between sites across the Trust estate.
Main duties of the job
You will provide day to day management and leadership for CST to include staff and service development and hold responsibility for operational delivery of service outcomes.
You will have demonstrable communication and problem-solving skills, a can-do attitude and a commitment to working collaboratively with stakeholders, developing strong relationships to support the planning and delivery of programmes of work that improve safety, quality and efficiency.
Key functions include clinical system management, maintenance, and support (where appropriate within service contracts). Working with colleagues across the Trust and other organisations, ensuring that CST has the frameworks, procedures and processes in place to:
Assure training is accessible to all and support end users
Safely and effectively manage service requests and changes within KPIs and SLAs
Maintain the integrity of the live clinical solutions
Work closely with system suppliers so that functionality roadmaps are understood and contractual standards are met
Work with the Clinical Team to ensure Trust systems are clinically safe
Oversee the Registration Authority (RA) function, maintaining the trust's position on regulatory compliance and identify areas for improvement
Deputise where appropriate for the HOS and/or the Deputy HOS
