Digital Portfolio Manager - Deputy Solutions Architect
Job summary
Humber Health Partnership is implementing a major new Electronic Patient Record (EPR) that will transform digital care across our hospitals and services. To support this, we are recruiting a highly skilled Deputy Solutions Architect Integration to lead development of the Trust's new Data Warehouse and interfaces essential to a safe, modern EPR ecosystem.
This senior role is central to ensuring the Group's data architecture, warehousing capability and system interfaces are robust, future-proof and aligned to national and internal digital priorities.
You will:
- Lead the design, development and evolution of the Group's data warehouse, reporting infrastructure and interface solutions supporting the new EPR.
- Drive solution designs, technical specifications and integration standards to ensure safe, effective interoperability between clinical and administrative systems.
- Oversee change control, configuration management, system upgrades and interface testing to ensure uninterrupted service.
- Represent the Group in internal and external programmes, clearly communicating digital vision and EPR integration strategy.
- Provide expert oversight across complex digital projects, including data development, system deployment and solution design.
Main duties of the job
Essential Experience & Knowledge
- Extensive experience in systems and integration development within NHS clinical and administrative systems.
- Deep understanding of NHS business processes, digital systems, interfaces and data flows.
- Experience managing digital or technical teams including staffing, performance, resource planning and development.
- Knowledge of development methodologies (e.g., Agile/Scrum) and project management approaches such as PRINCE2.
- Knowledge of data architectures, interface technologies and integration standards relevant to modern EPR systems.
- Ability to analyse complex technical and operational problems and develop high-quality digital solutions.
Desirable
- Experience with ITIL, service management or advanced agile frameworks.
- Knowledge of specialist or bespoke Trust systems and integration patterns.

Person Specification
Education and Qualifications
- PRINCE 2 Foundation or Scrum / Agile leadership qualification or experience
- Experience of Systems development and integration within NHS clinical and administrative systems
- System or Integration development experience in clinical and administrative systems
- Degree or relevant appropriate Health related qualification
- ITL Practitioner Certification or Scrum or Agile leadership qualification
Experience
- Experience in the management of a system and integration development services team
- Proven ability in staff and team management
- Knowledge and experience of a development methodology (e.g. Scrum/Agile) to develop and deliver practical development processes
- Experience of system release management, regression testing and product development lifecycles including test script development and execution
- highly developed specialist knowledge of the NHS supported by a relevant NHS Management qualification or experience
- Highly developed specialist knowledge and extensive understanding of a wide range of NHS IM&T procedures and systems covering: User Needs Analyses; Interfaces; Business Case Preparation; Compliance Testing; Procurement; and PRINCE Project Management.
