Azure AD B2C IAM Specialist

Azure AD B2C IAM Specialist, London/Hybrid, £704/day all in

Role Overview

We're looking for two highly skilled Azure AD B2C Specialists to support the design, development, and optimisation of enterprise identity journeys. This role is entirely focused on Azure AD B2C, custom policies, and authentication management - not application development.

You'll work within the corporate IT/IT Services function, supporting internal identity initiatives and enterprise authentication standards. The role is best suited to candidates with a strong IAM background rather than developers or DevOps engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build and maintain Azure AD B2C Custom Policies (IEF) including TrustFrameworkBase.XML, Extensions.XML, and RelyingParty.XML.
  • Configure and optimise user journeys, claims mapping, orchestration steps, and identity flows.
  • Integrate OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, and JWT-based authentication.
  • Implement and customise HTML/CSS UI templates used within B2C journeys.
  • Work with internal IT stakeholders to support identity life cycles, login experiences, and secure access flows.
  • Troubleshoot authentication issues, token problems, and custom policy errors.
  • Contribute to enterprise IAM standards and ensure compliance across integrations.

Required Expertise

  • Proven, hands-on experience with Azure AD B2C at an enterprise level.
  • Deep experience authoring and maintaining IEF custom policies.
  • Strong understanding of authentication protocols (OAuth2, OIDC, SAML).
  • Experience with JWT tokens, custom claims mapping, and policy chaining.
  • Familiarity with integrating custom UI (HTML/CSS) into B2C authentication pages.
  • Ability to work with IT services teams, business stakeholders, and infrastructure teams.
