Java Developer | Contract | Bournemouth

Bournemouth — 4 days onsite, every week

Up to £450/day | Inside IR35

Contract - 6 Months Extendable

7+ years’ experience required

Important: This role has no sponsorship option. Applicants must already have the unrestricted right to work in the UK and be fully comfortable with the non-flexible 4-day onsite requirement.

What you’ll be doing

• Building scalable Java/Spring Boot microservices

• Developing high-throughput streaming and data-distribution solutions

• Working with Kafka, AWS Lambda and Databricks

• Delivering cloud-native services using Docker and Kubernetes

• Collaborating across engineering, data and platform teams

Essential skills

• Expert Java: concurrency, multithreading, collections and OOP

• Spring Boot, microservices and REST APIs

• AWS, including Lambda

• Kafka and distributed streaming

• Databricks for data processing

• SQL and NoSQL databases

• Docker and Kubernetes

Spark/Flink, Python, CI/CD, Datadog or Prometheus experience is a strong advantage.
