Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Murex Business Analyst to join a Treasury-focused Murex migration programme. The role will support the migration of Interest Rate Swaps, Fixed Income, Money Market instruments, and FX products from a legacy platform and/or earlier Murex version into a target Murex MX.3 environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with Treasury Front Office, Risk, Finance, Operations, and Technology teams to ensure accurate product modelling, data migration, and business continuity throughout the migration lifecycle.

Migration & Treasury Analysis

  • Lead business analysis activities for a Treasury Murex migration, covering IRS, Fixed Income, Money Markets, and FX.
  • Analyse AS-IS Treasury workflows and define TO-BE processes within Murex MX.3.
  • Perform gap analysis between source systems and Murex Treasury functionality.
  • Support migration of trades, positions, curves, fixings, market data, static data, and reference data.

Requirements & Documentation

  • Gather and document business requirements from Treasury Front Office, ALM, Risk, Finance, and Operations.
  • Produce detailed business requirements documents, functional specifications, and data mapping documents.
  • Define product setup, booking models, cashflow structures, and valuation requirements in Murex.

Testing & Data Validation

  • Support and coordinate UAT, migration testing, and parallel runs.
  • Define Treasury-specific test scenarios for IRS, bonds, MM instruments, and FX trades.
  • Perform data validation and reconciliation of trades, positions, P&L, cashflows, and risk metrics.
  • Support defect analysis and resolution with Murex configuration and development teams.

Stakeholder & Delivery Management

  • Act as the key interface between Treasury business users, Murex teams, and external vendors.
  • Support cutover planning, migration rehearsals, and go-live activities.
  • Clearly communicate progress, risks, and dependencies to project stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience as a Murex Business Analyst, with a clear focus on migration projects.
  • Hands-on experience with Murex MX.3, particularly Treasury products.
  • In-depth knowledge of Interest Rate Swaps, Fixed Income (Bonds), Money Market instruments, and FX.
  • Solid understanding of Treasury trade lifecycles, valuations, curves, cashflows, and P&L.
  • Proven experience in data migration, reconciliation, and cutover activities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills.

Desirable

  • Experience migrating Treasury products from legacy systems into Murex.
  • Knowledge of Murex modules across Front Office, Risk, Market Data, and Accounting.
  • Experience supporting ALM, liquidity, or balance sheet reporting.
  • SQL or strong data analysis skills to support reconciliation and validation activities.
