As Digital Director, you'll report directly to our Chief Digital and Transformation Officer, working collectively championing Tom Loosemore's definition of digital--applying the culture, processes, business models, and technologies of the internet era to meet rising expectations across our Trust.

You'll lead the delivery of our Digital and Information Strategy, modernising infrastructure, platforms, and digital services to create seamless, intuitive experiences for staff and patients. You'll foster a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and continuous improvement, ensuring NUH is at the forefront of the NHS 10 Year Plan's digital ambitions.

Experience

Essential
  • Must have significant experience working in a senior leadership role (reporting to Director or Deputy Director) within a digital/technology service delivering to a large, complex organisation
  • Must be able to demonstrate substantial experience of service design leadership at a personal level across multiple digital/technical/information disciplines and multiple stakeholders with evidence of service development and continual improvement in a challenging setting
  • Must be able to demonstrate substantial experience of service transition leadership at a personal level across multiple digital/technical/ information disciplines and multiple stakeholders with evidence of successful transitions into 'Business as Usual' services on time, on budget and achieving expected benefits
  • Must be able to demonstrate significant experience of service operations leadership at a personal level across multiple digital/technical/ information disciplines; with evidence of achieving cross-discipline, service operation targets/goals
  • Must be able to demonstrate substantial experience in financial management of both capital and revenue budgets; including evidence of cost improvements/efficiencies against budget lines
  • Must be able to demonstrate experience in dealing with complex people issues and providing pastoral leadership to teams
  • To have demonstrable knowledge and understanding of the NHS and its culture
  • A proven track record in project management, managing and delivering highly complex and multiple projects across functional boundaries
  • Experience of cultivating a high performance culture
