UK Director

Job Overview

We are seeking an exceptional leader to drive the development and growth of new and established data and insights products and services in the Higher Education (HE) sector, working for the preeminent education and public services consulting firm in the UK. This role requires proven expertise in HE, business growth, and data analytics, combined with a passion for helping university clients use data to make informed decisions to support their academic mission.

Responsibilities
  • Lead sales conversations as an expert in both established and future data solutions that assist universities in improving education delivery and student experience.
  • Engage with senior academic leaders, develop thought leadership, nurture a network of academic clients, and collaborate with the marketing team to generate new business.
  • Manage product demonstrations, address client inquiries, develop high quality sales materials, and finalise contracts.
  • Oversee client onboarding, ensure the delivery of high quality reports and advice, and support senior client relationships.
  • Shape the future product development roadmap by capturing customer needs and defining new features.
  • Mentor and provide development support and guidance to junior team members.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Expert in higher education, including design and transformation of professional services - experience with universities in the UK or globally.
  • Strong commercial mindset with a demonstrated track record of developing client relationships and securing new business through strategic positioning of product based offerings.
  • Proven experience overseeing complex programs and delivering data led solutions and insights for clients, ideally in a consulting environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and visualisation techniques.
  • Outstanding communication and team management skills.
  • Clear vision for how data can support institutions, staff, and students, and an interest in global higher education.
  • Knowledge of education technology trends and data analytics is desirable.
