Sales Executive The Role

As Sales Executive, you will be responsible for identifying and converting new business opportunities while managing and developing client relationships. You will build a strong understanding of the organisation’s IT services and solutions, enabling you to provide tailored, value-led recommendations to customers.

The position is office-based and combines outbound prospecting, account management, and representation at industry events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through lead generation, outbound calling, CRM activity, LinkedIn prospecting, and face-to-face networking
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through to negotiation and close
  • Meet or exceed monthly and annual revenue targets
  • Provide ongoing account management to ensure high levels of client satisfaction
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling
  • Understand customer requirements and deliver solutions aligned to the business’s value proposition
  • Represent the organisation at trade exhibitions and industry events, including occasional international travel
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and activity records within CRM systems
Salary, Commission & Earnings
  • Competitive base salary plus commission
  • On-target earnings (OTE) of £30,000–£40,000 per annum, with the opportunity for year-on-year growth based on performance
  • Commission paid at 1% of revenue, subject to margin thresholds
  • Commission paid monthly in arrears once invoiced revenue has been received
  • Graduated revenue thresholds apply during the first 12 months
  • Quarterly commission available on gross profit for specific product lines (subject to margin)
  • New business commission capped at a monthly maximum
Skills & Experience
  • GCSE-level education including English and Maths
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Confident, persuasive sales style both over the phone and in person
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and target-focused
  • Comfortable working in an office-based sales environment
  • Previous sales experience is beneficial but not essential
