Frontend Developer

Front End Developer - Javascript, HTML, CSS

Leeds (Hybrid)

3 days a week on site in central Leeds

Salary £35-50k DOE

We’re looking for a Front End Developer to join a delivery-focused team building and evolving a suite of platforms used by global brands.

This role sits within a sprint-based environment, working closely with Product, QA, Design and Engineering to deliver high-quality, user-facing applications. It’s a hands-on role with a good level of autonomy - taking requirements, turning them into working interfaces, and owning the quality of what you build.

The Role

You’ll be developing across both client-facing and internal systems, working on platforms that manage how content and data is structured and displayed across different interfaces.

  • Building and maintaining user-facing features using JavaScript, HTML and CSS
  • Translating product requirements and designs into functional, responsive interfaces
  • Collaborating with backend developers to integrate APIs and services effectively
  • Writing clean, maintainable and well-structured front-end code
  • Testing and debugging applications across browsers and devices, identifying and resolving UI issues
  • Ensuring interfaces are consistent, accessible and user-friendly
  • Contributing to improving front-end standards, patterns and reusable components over time

They have a dedicated designer on the team, so your role is to take designs and implement them well

The Environment

You’ll be working within a custom, in-house framework, so a strong grounding in front-end fundamentals is key. This isn’t a heavily framework-led setup - it’s more about understanding how things work under the hood and building clean, efficient interfaces that do exactly what they need to.

What they’re looking for

  • Strong experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Experience building and maintaining web applications in live environments
  • Comfortable working in custom or non-framework environments
  • Experience working in Agile / sprint-based teams
  • Good understanding of API integration and front-end architecture
  • Ability to take requirements and implement solutions with a good level of independence
  • Attention to detail in both functionality and UI delivery

Why this role

  • You’ll be working on platforms that are genuinely different from standard web builds
  • There’s real ownership and you’re trusted to deliver
  • The team values clarity, collaboration and building things properly

If you’re someone who enjoys building solid front-end applications, working close to the fundamentals, and being trusted to get on with it this could be a great opportunity for you!

We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds. If you don't meet every requirement but feel you could add value, please do apply
