Senior Onboarding Engineer Job Overview:
As Novatus Global continues to grow and expand, we are looking to add an experienced Senior Onboarding Engineer to our onboarding engineering team.
This role is critical to the successful implementation of the En:ACT platform for our clients. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, product teams and internal stakeholders to onboard new institutions onto the platform, translate complex data requirements into scalable technical solutions, and ensure high-quality delivery across implementation projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving complex data problems, working directly with clients, and contributing to a fast-growing technology platform within a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation.
Responsibilities:
- Lead technical onboarding and implementation projects for new clients adopting the En:ACT platform.
- Design and build data ingestion and transformation pipelines in Python for large-scale financial datasets.
- Improve reliability and performance of the onboarding data pipeline through automation, testing and observability.
- Mentor team members and continuously improve team processes.
- Champion AI tooling adoption across the engineering team, helping establish norms for AI-assisted development.
- Collaborate with business analysts, implementation managers and client technical teams to understand client data and reporting requirements.
Required Experience:
- Strong software engineering fundamentals including OOP, clean code, automated testing, CI/CD and observability.
- Fluent in python and the python data ecosystem (e.g. pandas).
- Experience building large and complex data pipelines in regulated or high-integrity environments.
- Solid fundamentals in data modelling, SQL and database design.
- Ability to work effectively with a high degree of autonomy and accountability.
- Comfortable translating regulatory requirements into technical specs with non-engineering stakeholders.
Beneficial Experience:
- Experience working with AWS-based data infrastructure.
- Experience with modern data platforms such as Spark, Databricks or Snowflake.
- FinTech, RegTech, or financial services background.
