SuccessFactors Technical Engineer
SuccessFactors Technical Engineer
Manchester
£60,000–£80,000 + Benefits
Are you a hands-on SAP SuccessFactors specialist who enjoys building, improving and troubleshooting systems—not simply managing suppliers or advising from a distance?
We are supporting a large, established organisation looking to appoint a SuccessFactors Technical Engineer to strengthen its internal People Systems capability.
Working closely with the People Systems Lead, you will take agreed business requirements and translate them into robust SuccessFactors configuration, integrations and controlled system changes.
This is an opportunity to take genuine ownership of technical delivery across the full lifecycle:
Design → Configure → Test → Deploy → Demonstrate → Support
The Role
You will be responsible for:
- Configuring and enhancing SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
- Building and updating MDF objects, business rules, workflows, picklists and data models
- Managing Role-Based Permissions and configuration dependencies
- Building, maintaining and troubleshooting third-party integrations
- Using tools including Integration Center, Intelligent Services and APIs
- Supporting Microsoft Teams and wider platform integrations
- Preparing configuration playbacks and demonstrations for stakeholders
- Writing test scripts and supporting system testing and UAT
- Investigating defects and managing issues through to resolution
- Moving approved configuration between development, preview and production environments
- Maintaining clear technical, testing and deployment documentation
- Working with internal SMEs, IT teams and external support partners
- Supporting the adoption of new SuccessFactors platform and AI-enabled capabilities
What We Are Looking For
You will need strong, practical experience working with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central.
This should include:
- Hands-on Employee Central configuration
- MDF objects, workflows, business rules and data models
- Role-Based Permissions
- Integration Center, Intelligent Services or API-based integrations
- Building or maintaining integrations with third-party systems
- Environment management and configuration deployment
- UAT planning, test-script creation and defect management
- Strong documentation and change-control discipline
- The ability to explain technical solutions clearly to non-technical stakeholders
SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central certification is strongly preferred, alongside demonstrable integration experience.
Experience with Microsoft Teams integrations, SAP CPI/BTP, Joule or other SAP AI-enabled platform functionality would be advantageous, but is not essential where you have the technical capability to learn.
The Opportunity
This is not a programme-management or supplier-management position.
You will remain close to the technology, personally configuring solutions and taking ownership of changes from initial requirement through to production deployment.
You will join an organisation investing in its People technology landscape, with the opportunity to:
- Influence how SuccessFactors is developed and optimised
- Take ownership of meaningful technical work
- Work across both BAU improvements and larger enhancement projects
- Build expertise across integrations, automation and emerging SAP capabilities
- Progress within a growing internal People Systems function
Package
- Salary of £60,000–£80,000, depending on experience
- Manchester location
- Hybrid working
- Comprehensive company benefits
- Long-term development and progression opportunities
