Finance & Procurement Design and Implementation Lead

We are seeking an experienced Finance & Procurement Design & Implementation Lead to play a key role in a major Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP transformation programme.

You will lead the Finance, Purchasing and Procurement workstream from design through to implementation and go-live, working closely with senior Finance and Commercial stakeholders, the Programme Director, Project Manager and Implementation Partner.

As the senior functional expert, you will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical delivery, ensuring Oracle Fusion Cloud meets organisational, statutory and regulatory requirements while championing an “Adopt not Adapt” approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the functional design and implementation of Oracle Fusion Cloud Finance, Purchasing and Procurement.
  • Provide functional leadership to SMEs, process leads and contractors.
  • Lead To-Be process design workshops and challenge designs where necessary.
  • Oversee configuration across areas including General Ledger, AP/AR, Fixed Assets, Projects, Cash Management, Purchasing, Supplier Management and Budgeting/Forecasting.
  • Support Chart of Accounts, workflows, financial controls, security and segregation of duties.
  • Lead business-side data migration, cleansing, testing and reporting activities.
  • Work with technical teams and the Implementation Partner to deliver integrations and resolve issues.
  • Lead Finance and Procurement readiness for SIT, UAT, cutover and go-live.
  • Support training, change management, benefits realisation and post-go-live continuous improvement.
  • Manage risks, issues and dependencies and provide assurance to programme leadership.

About You

You will be a qualified accountant (CCAB/CIMA/ACCA) with extensive Oracle Fusion Cloud Finance experience, including multiple full lifecycle implementations.

You will have:

  • Strong hands-on configuration experience across Finance, Purchasing and Procurement.
  • Experience in public sector or highly regulated environments; policing experience is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of UK statutory requirements, VAT, audit and public-sector finance.
  • Experience with Chart of Accounts, controls, workflows, integrations and data migration.
  • Proven ability to lead process redesign and optimise ERP functionality.
  • Experience working with and constructively challenging system integrators.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • A structured, quality-focused and delivery-oriented approach.
