SAP S/4 HANA HR/Employee Central Functional Consultant
We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA HR Functional Consultant with strong Employee Central (SuccessFactors) expertise to join a major transformation programme on a project basis.
This role will focus on delivering high-quality functional solutions across HR processes, supporting both SAP ERP/S/4HANA and SAP Cloud environments, and working closely with business and technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide subject matter expertise across SAP HR/Employee Central solutions within S/4HANA.
- Deliver functional consulting support across the full project life cycle (design, build, test, deploy).
- Work on project deliverables and change requests, including enhancements and system improvements.
- Identify and drive process improvement opportunities across the SAP HR landscape.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define solutions, and support testing activities.
- Produce and maintain functional specifications, documentation, and audit materials.
- Work closely with ABAP, Basis, and Security teams during build and deployment phases.
- Support testing activities, including unit, system, integration, and regression testing.
- Assist with SAP rollout initiatives across the wider organisation.
- Provide knowledge transfer to internal teams and support functions.
- Collaborate with Team Leads, Architects, and SMEs to identify and mitigate risks.
Required Experience & Skills
- Proven hands-on functional experience with:
- SAP S/4HANA
- SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central (essential)
- Strong experience in:
- Business process design and configuration
- Functional specification writing
- Testing (functional, integration, regression, performance)
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience producing high-quality documentation and reporting for audit and handover purposes.
- Solid understanding of SAP testing standards and methodologies.
- Experience with SAP Concur (expenses/travel management) is desirable
The role is outside IR35 and presents a long-term contract opportunity.
