💼 The Role
We're working with a fast-growing, venture-backed SaaS business looking to hire an SDR Lead to take ownership of a high-performing outbound team.
This is a genuine player-coach role. You'll be responsible for leading, developing and motivating the SDR team while continuing to contribute directly to pipeline generation yourself.
The business is looking for someone who has already managed SDRs or BDRs within a SaaS environment and understands what great outbound looks like. You'll be expected to coach the team, improve performance, refine outbound processes and help shape the next phase of growth.
If you're someone who enjoys getting stuck into prospecting, coaching cold calling, improving playbooks and leading from the front, this could be a great opportunity.
🚀 Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop the SDR team
- Carry an individual contribution target alongside management responsibilities
- Personally prospect and generate pipeline through outbound activity
- Coach SDRs on cold calling, objection handling and outbound best practice
- Monitor performance and hold the team accountable to targets and KPIs
- Improve and refine outbound processes, messaging and playbooks
- Support hiring, onboarding and development of SDR talent
- Work closely with Sales and Leadership teams to drive pipeline growth
- Run outbound initiatives and experiments to improve results
- Create a high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement
🌟 What We're Looking For
- 2+ years managing SDR or BDR teams within B2B SaaS
- 5-10 years of outbound sales experience overall
- Strong cold calling background and confidence coaching others
- Comfortable remaining hands-on and carrying a personal target
- Experience building, refining or scaling outbound playbooks
- Experience holding teams accountable to activity and pipeline targets
- Strong understanding of modern outbound sales motions
- Experience with tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Clay, Lemlist or similar
- High-growth SaaS experience, ideally within a VC-backed environment
- Someone who leads by example and earns trust through action rather than title
💰 Package
- £70,000-£75,000 basic salary
- £90,000-£100,000 OTE
