Experienced DevOps Engineer (AWS & Private Cloud)
Location: Guildford (Hybrid)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 p.a.
Role Overview
A dynamic and rapidly growing tech company is seeking a skilled DevOps Systems Administrator to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated professional who excels in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable infrastructure across both AWS and private cloud environments. You’ll be involved in architecting solutions, automating processes, and driving DevOps best practices to support the company's ongoing expansion.
In this role, you'll work with cutting-edge technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, and Grafana, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance and optimize systems. Your expertise will directly contribute to improving infrastructure reliability and streamlining operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Build: Deploy and maintain infrastructure on AWS and private cloud platforms.
- Automate: Use Terraform, Ansible, and Git to automate deployment and configuration.
- Monitor: Implement observability tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and CloudWatch.
- Collaborate: Work with teams to optimize performance, security, and scalability.
- Enhance: Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and systems.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years in DevOps with AWS and private cloud expertise.
- Strong knowledge of Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes (AWS EKS).
- Experience with CI/CD, GitHub Actions, and observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus).
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, Go).
Nice to Have
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer).
- Familiarity with VMware vSphere, ProxMox, or security tools like Trivy.
