Apprentice Software Tester
We are looking for an Apprentice Software Tester to join our team and learn the fundamentals, including test planning, execution and defect management. You'll work with our experienced test team to detect & report software defects. This is an excellent opportunity to begin an impactful career.
Role
Your duties will include:
- Learning and defining appropriate testing techniques to assure mission critical cyber capabilities
- Understanding of the management of test data and applying relevant security best practices
- Developing an understanding of the documentation of test cycles.
- Collaboration with established Software Development Teams
- Assisting in the running of diagnostic and system testing
- Assisting in the presentation of information to key stakeholders
- Contributing to effective team communication
- Building an understanding of identification methods for redundant functions and components
- Building knowledge of business applications and user requirements
- Learning and practicing Industry Standard ISTQB best practices and protocols
Training
- Software Tester Level 4 (Higher national certificate) Apprenticeship Standard
- ISTQB Foundation, BCS Testing Tools. Training will be delivered in College and at Quanta and at the workplace
- Apprentices without level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking the End-Point Assessment
