We're hiring on behalf of a well-established legal organisation in Belfast and this one's a great opportunity for a network engineer ready to take ownership of a modern, hybrid cloud environment.
Role
You'll be a key player within the IT Infrastructure Services team, responsible for designing, supporting and securing both on-premises and Azure-based network environments. Day-to-day, you'll work alongside infrastructure, development and security teams to deliver solutions that are scalable, secure and built to last.
Day-to-day:
- Designing and implementing secure Azure cloud networking solutions
- Managing and maintaining on-prem and Azure infrastructure
- Configuring and troubleshooting BGP and OSPF routing protocols
- Supporting Azure networking components, VNETs, NSGs, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, WAF, Azure Front Door and Application Gateway
- Driving vulnerability remediation, patching and proactive monitoring
- Ensuring security controls align to CIS / ISO27001 standards
- Providing 3rd line support and vendor management where required
Experience:
- Solid background in Network Engineering (several years' experience)
- Minimum 12 months' hands-on Azure cloud experience
- Strong Azure networking knowledge and security best practice
- Experience with BGP and OSPF dynamic routing protocols
- Familiarity with Zero Trust principles and SD-WAN
- Experience managing vulnerability and cybersecurity tooling
- Working knowledge of ITIL processes
Bonus points for: Terraform / IaC, F5 or load balancing tech, or experience in regulated / professional services environments.
