A growing technology company at the forefront of mission-critical communication systems is seeking an experienced Full Stack Linux Software Developer to join its engineering team in Cambridge. The company designs and manufactures professional-grade systems used globally across high-reliability sectors including maritime, emergency services, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the full software development lifecycle: requirements, design, coding, testing, and deployment
  • Develop and maintain Linux-based server applications and responsive web interfaces
  • Work closely with internal engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable, and maintainable systems
  • Design, implement, and manage databases and network-integrated applications

Essential Skills:

  • Strong experience as a Full Stack Linux Software Developer in a server environment
  • Strong experience with PHP, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and Apache
  • Proficiency in database design and implementation (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL)
  • Solid knowledge of IP and mobile networking
  • Experience developing websites and web services
  • Familiar with JIRA for issue tracking and Git for version control

Desirable Experience:

  • Asterisk and related protocols (SIP, RTP, RTCP, WebRTC)
  • Docker and containerized deployments
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure)
  • Experience with test-driven development (TDD) and CI/CD pipelines
  • Awareness of system architecture design
