Payments Acceptance/Breakages Consultant - 12 month contract hybrid mostly remote
(Payment Consultant, Payments troubleshooter, cards, aquiring, acquires, card schemes, payments support).
My client are looking for a Payments analyst/consultant who can take client ownership and resolve all issues around payments breakages and acceptance (note this is distinct from card payment declines).
To suit you will have good communication skills to be able to deal with customers and relationships. Good organisation skills to be able to manage multiple task and clients, Good presentation skills to be able to communicate to stake holders.
On a day to day basis you role with be dealing with customers, troubleshooting payment breakages at the point of transaction eg Point of Sale Terminals, Ecommerce platforms and get the issue resolved. To do this you will need to understand the payments process life cycle and have a good understanding of potential causes of breakages so a good tech understanding of the payments process will help. Some of the role may involve using for example SQL to look at logs faults etc. You will have a team in house behind you should you need more technical assistance to assist with resolving the issues for the customer.
Nice to have would be Spanish speaking but not essential
To suit you will have worked in payments, ideally payments acceptance, good troubleshooting skills, card scheme or acquirer or merchant
Role is mostly remote with ideally one day a month in the office in London
