JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Service Engineer supporting large-scale, high-end integrated security systems within complex, secure environments.

As a Service Engineer you will deliver maintenance, troubleshooting and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across digital CCTV, access control systems and perimeter detection systems. You will work on enterprise level systems and control room solutions, ensuring infrastructure and networked security equipment operate at peak performance.

The Service Engineer will join a dedicated regional service team, providing technical support, fault finding and on-site repair capability while maintaining excellent customer service standards. This role requires flexibility, a proactive attitude and the ability to work within demanding, high-security settings.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Service Engineer include:

  • Service Delivery: Provide a reliable, courteous and efficient engineering service to the client at all times
  • System Maintenance: Carry out day-to-day care, maintenance and repair of large-scale digital CCTV and access control systems
  • Control Room Support: Maintain and support complex control room environments and monitor wall solutions
  • Perimeter Systems: Support and maintain perimeter detection and intruder detection systems
  • Planned Preventative Maintenance: Complete scheduled PPM tasks in line with service agreements
  • Fault Finding & Repairs: Diagnose issues, undertake on-site repairs and ensure systems are restored promptly
  • Client Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients and third-party vendors
  • Helpdesk Updates: Accurately update and close service calls via the helpdesk system following each visit
  • Professional Standards: Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude representing the organisation
  • Team Support: Assist colleagues and participate in the call-out rota and occasional nights away as required

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL

  • Sound knowledge of CCTV systems and IT systems across varying scales
  • Experience with RAID recording and enterprise level security systems
  • Proven experience of fault finding and on-site repair capability
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach
  • Ability to complete documentation accurately and manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Flexible approach to working hours and operational requirements
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK and ability to obtain a high level of vetting

DESIRABLE:

  • Knowledge of monitor wall solutions and control room technologies
  • Experience with access control systems and intruder systems
  • Experience supporting integrated security systems within high-security or infrastructure environments
