Odin Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Structured Cabling Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer with strong installation and troubleshooting experience within structured cabling environments.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality structured cabling installations while supporting project planning and onsite coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site surveys and attend pre-installation meetings
- Plan cable routes and resolve any building or logistical challenges during installation
- Provide leadership and guidance to the project delivery team on-site
- Install structured cabling systems (CAT6 / CAT6A / CAT7)
- Install secondary containment systems including basket, trunking, conduit, and copex where required
- Install floor-mounted communication cabinets and server racks
- Terminate, test, and label cables within patch panels and data outlets
- Perform cable tracing and fault finding to diagnose and resolve network issues
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience working as a Structured Cabling Engineer or Data Cabling Engineer
- Strong knowledge of structured cabling installation standards and best practices
- Experience installing and terminating CAT6, CAT6A, or CAT7 cabling
- Ability to test, trace, and fault-find data cabling
- Experience installing containment systems and comms cabinets
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
