Are you a detail-oriented analyst with a passion for finance, IT, and project governance? We're looking for an ambitious IT Finance & Projects Analyst to join a dynamic and collaborative IT team based in Epsom.

The Role

Reporting into the IT leadership team, you will play a key role in ensuring IT procurement, financial management, and project governance activities are carried out in a structured, compliant, and controlled manner.

Procurement Responsibilities

  • Manage IT purchase order and invoicing processes, ensuring compliance with company procedures.
  • Verify costs, coding, cost centres, and general ledger allocations.
  • Ensure goods and services are receipted accurately.
  • Maintain software renewal schedules and licensing records within the Definitive Software Library.
  • Approve purchase orders and invoices while ensuring coding accuracy.
  • Support supplier management activities and procurement administration.

Financial Responsibilities

  • Maintain information relating to IT services and assets to support cost analysis and service catalogue development.
  • Produce quarterly recharge invoices, projects and pass-through costs.
  • Manage and maintain timesheet templates for projects, services, and staff.
  • Ensure compliance with overtime, expenses and on-call policies.
  • Assist with monthly IT budget reviews and provide supporting data for annual budget planning.
  • Produce accurate year-end accruals and fixed asset reporting.
  • Support internal and external audits, including dealing confidently with auditors and HMRC requirements.
  • Monitor and report on IT operational and capital expenditure

Project Governance Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Portfolio Manager to maintain project and portfolio documentation.
  • Develop and maintain project records, templates, governance controls, and reporting.
  • Support project tracking, forecasting, and resource management activities.
  • Ensure project information is accurate, auditable and up to date.

What You'll Bring

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a finance, analyst, project support, or IT governance role.
  • Finance literate with a good understanding of budgets and forecasting
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyse and interpret data.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to explain complex financial information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience of licence management and supplier management.
  • Exposure to IT environments or a technical IT background would be advantageous.
  • Experience supporting audits and financial controls is desirable.
