About the Role: As a Temporary Customer Service Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting a diverse range of users, including clients, apprentices, and internal staff. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Support Services, you will tackle support issues via Intercom, ensuring every interaction is marked by clarity, empathy, and urgency.

Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing - possible temp to perm
Location: Paddington
Pay: £18 - £21 p/h / £35,000 - £40,000
Hybrid working - 3 days in the office 2 days from home. Thursday & Friday need to be office based
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to Support Tickets: Handle inquiries via Intercom, providing clear and timely assistance to apprentices, employers, and internal teams.
- Problem Solving & Troubleshooting: Investigate user-reported issues, replicate scenarios, and follow structured troubleshooting guides with confidence.
- Technical Ticket Writing: Document findings and next steps accurately, adhering to internal guidelines.
- Build Trust: Maintain strong communication with customers and handle sensitive or escalated issues with professionalism.
- Manage Volume: Efficiently prioritise and manage a high volume of tickets while maintaining service standards.
- Role Model: Set a standard for tone of voice, responsiveness, accountability, and support quality within the team.
- Become a Product Expert: Deepen your understanding of all features and keep up with product releases to adjust support approaches accordingly.
- Proactive Improvement: Share feedback and ideas to enhance customer experience and internal workflows using a data-driven approach.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years in customer support, client service, or helpdesk roles, with at least 1 year in a tech specialist capacity-preferably within education or training environments.
- Communication Skills: Strong background in client communication with the ability to build trust and manage expectations effectively.
- Written Proficiency: Excellent written communication skills, fluent in Plain English, able to explain complex topics clearly.
- Tech-Savvy: A strong interest in technology-enabled products and eagerness to learn.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong reading comprehension and the ability to navigate complex requests.
- Volume Management: Experience managing high ticket volumes while upholding service excellence.
