Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Location: Remote-first (UK) with occasional London meetups

Senior Machine Learning Engineer is required for a fast-growing technology company building AI-driven analytics and workflow software in a critical industry.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on taking machine learning models from concept through to production, helping scale AI capabilities across a high-impact product used by major institutions.

The Role

You will play a key role in designing and building production-grade ML systems that deliver measurable value within the product.

Responsibilities include:

• Designing and deploying machine learning models powering product features
• Building scalable ML infrastructure and data pipelines
• Moving models from experimentation to reliable production services
• Developing high-performance APIs and backend services
• Optimising systems for latency, reliability and observability
• Evaluating new AI/ML techniques and research
• Collaborating closely with engineers and product teams to embed AI capabilities

What They’re Looking For

• Strong Python engineering experience
• Proven track record building machine learning systems in production
• Experience deploying ML systems on AWS or other cloud platforms
• Experience with ML infrastructure, pipelines or orchestration
• Experience supporting LLM services in production environments
• Strong software engineering practices (testing, CI/CD, Agile)
