The Role

You'll help build and scale the backend infrastructure and data platform that underpins the company's products.

Working closely with engineers, data specialists, and product teams, you'll be responsible for ensuring data flows efficiently through the platform while maintaining high levels of reliability, performance, and scalability.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing backend services and applications using Python.
  • Designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines.
  • Building ETL workflows and data processing systems.
  • Working extensively with SQL and large datasets.
  • Optimising platform performance and reliability.
  • Contributing to infrastructure and platform engineering initiatives.
  • Supporting production systems and helping drive operational excellence.

What They're Looking For

  • 1+ years of commercial experience in Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong Python development skills.
  • Good SQL knowledge.
  • Experience working with Snowflake, Databricks, or similar data platforms.
  • Familiarity with Linux environments.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
  • Passion for building scalable, reliable systems.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Knowledge of distributed systems.
  • Experience building large-scale data pipelines.
  • Exposure to financial data or financial markets.
  • Understanding of infrastructure, monitoring, or platform engineering concepts.
