Senior Software Engineer (.NET / Azure) | London | Hybrid | £110k + Package
We're partnering with a high-growth SaaS business undergoing significant platform transformation following a series of acquisitions. As they consolidate multiple products and build their future technology platform, they're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to play a key role in shaping the next generation of their engineering estate.
This is an opportunity for a senior engineer who combines strong technical expertise with a modern mindset—someone who embraces emerging technologies, including AI, and enjoys influencing engineering direction without moving into formal people management.
The Opportunity
You'll join a small, highly collaborative platform team responsible for driving platform modernisation, technical excellence, and long-term architecture strategy. Working closely with engineers, technical leadership, and stakeholders across the business, you'll help define priorities, shape roadmaps, and deliver scalable cloud-native solutions.
What You'll Be Doing
- Building and evolving backend platforms using .NET and Microsoft Azure
- Driving platform modernisation and consolidation initiatives
- Leveraging AI tools and practices to improve engineering productivity and outcomes
- Providing technical leadership and mentorship across the engineering function
- Helping shape engineering backlogs, priorities, and technical direction
- Collaborating with stakeholders to balance business goals and technical excellence
- Championing engineering best practices, quality, and continuous improvement
What We're Looking For
- Strong commercial experience with .NET and Azure
- Deep backend engineering expertise
- Experience delivering platform development and modernisation programmes
- A pragmatic approach to technology and problem-solving
- Interest in AI-assisted development and evolving engineering practices
- Experience mentoring engineers and raising technical standards
- Comfortable influencing teams and stakeholders without direct management responsibility
- Experience working within fast-paced product-led environments
Nice to Have
- B2B SaaS experience
- Exposure to acquisitions, platform consolidation, or large-scale transformation programmes
- Experience across multiple cloud ecosystems (Azure, GCP)
- Familiarity with Python-based platforms and services
