Senior Full Stack Engineer

A fast growing deep tech start up is developing cutting edge solutions in the audio intelligence and communications space. Their products are being adopted internationally, helping teams collaborate more effectively by delivering clear, distraction free conversations in any environment.

They are now looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join their expanding engineering team. You will help shape customer facing tools and core platform features, working closely with talented engineers, product specialists, and designers.

The Role

In this position you will work across the full stack and contribute to a wide range of technical initiatives:

• Build and improve backend services using TypeScript and (sometimes) a little Python
• Develop responsive and efficient user interfaces with TypeScript and Next.js
• Work with both relational and non relational databases to design reliable data solutions
• Set up and maintain containerised services using Docker and related tools
• Create streamlined CI/CD workflows to speed up testing and deployments
• Deploy and oversee applications running on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Write clean, maintainable, and well structured code that follows engineering best practices
• Partner closely with cross functional teams to deliver new features and improvements
• Investigate and resolve technical issues while enhancing performance and scalability

The ideal candidate (please still apply if you hit MOST)

• CS/STEM educated
• Full-stack, 50:50 or slightly Backend leaning (not Frontend leaning)
• Strong experience working with TypeScript across both frontend and backend
• Hands on experience working with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or NoSQL alternatives
• Comfortable working with Docker for containerisation and deployment
• Familiar with modern CI/CD pipelines and tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins
• Good understanding of Google Cloud Platform and services such as Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, and Pub/Sub
• Exposure to modern API technologies including GraphQL, REST, gRPC, or Protobuf
• Thrives in fast paced, collaborative environments and enjoys problem solving
• Willing to pick up new tools and frameworks when required
• It would be beneficial to have Python knowledge for building APIs, data flows, or scripts
