Location: London

Hybrid: 3 days/week in London office

Oliver Bernard have partnered with a global brokerage firm that is modernising its middle office technology to support real-time trade data processing and integration. They're looking for a Senior Java Backend Engineer to join their London-based team to play a key role in building reliable, scalable systems that power the firm's operational core.

This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll collaborate closely with global stakeholders across technology, operations and front office to ensure seamless data flow and system performance across the trade lifecycle.

Your Background

• 5+ years of professional Java experience
• Strong Proficiency in SQL and generic scripting languages
• Proven Product Mindset
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines

The Role

• You will build new business features to improve and maintain real-time data transformation and integration services.
• Work on Backend systems to troubleshoot real-time trade data processing and integration issues.
• Analyse and modernise legacy components to improve maintainability
• Collaborate with Cross-functional teams.
