System Engineer
System / Linux Engineer – Media – Linux, VMware, AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD
Oliver Bernard are currently working with an established Media company, based in London, looking to expand their tech function by adding an established System Engineer (with a Linux background) to their team. The incoming profile will have the chance to work on a transformational migration piece, whereby the business are transitioning from On-Prem into the Cloud (AWS).
The System Engineer will be the driving force from a System / DevOps Engineering perspective, and will have autonomy in the role to work individually, and cross-functionally, to implement processes in their own way.
The incoming engineer must have at least 5-6 years experience, and be at Mid or Senior level in their current role, with experience that encompasses the following:
- Extensive hands-on Linux experience
- Prior work in On-Prem environments with VMware and Bare Metal Infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of Networking technologies and practices
- Knowledge / exposure to AWS, and an understanding of how to migrate Infrastructure into Cloud environments
- Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform
- History of CI/CD with GitLab, Jenkins or equivalents
- A working knowledge of Kubernetes is also highly beneficial
This position is able to offer £70-80K for the right profile, and operates a flexible working model (with visits only required once p/week).
