Data Mapping Specialist

Data Mapping Specialist to join a Global Organisation as part of their Strategic Data Programme, supporting enterprise architecture and data governance initiatives. This is a hands-on data design and mapping role, not a developer position.

The specialist will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to:
- Develop and maintain source-to-target data mappings for system migrations and builds.
- Design and document data structures, data dictionaries, and ERDs
Collaborate with BAs, architects, and technical teams to ensure accurate data flow and integration
- Support data lineage, traceability, and governance compliance across systems.
- Contribute to the Enterprise Architecture Repository, maintaining data artefact consistency
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in data mapping, modelling, and design within complex data landscapes
- Strong understanding of data architecture principles (relational & hierarchical)
- Ability to create and interpret ERDs, data flow diagrams, and mapping documents
- Experience with metadata management and data governance frameworks
- Skilled in Enterprise Architecture tools (e.g. Ardoq, Sparx EA, or similar)
- Excellent analytical and documentation skills
Desirable:
- Knowledge of application integration and impact analysis within enterprise environments
- Familiarity with version control and audit processes for data artefacts
