Master Data Management MDM Manager

Master Data Management (MDM) Manager

Manchester - Hybrid, Up to £70K

Are you ready to take ownership of a greenfield MDM vision and shape how a leading organisation manages and leverages its most valuable asset - its data?

We're looking for an experienced MDM Manager to lead the design, implementation and governance of a next-generation Master Data Management framework, powered by Tamr. This is a rare opportunity to drive an enterprise-wide data transformation programme that will enable a single, trusted view and empower the entire business to make smarter, data-driven decisions.

The Role

As the MDM Manager, you'll be responsible for defining and executing the company's Master Data Management strategy. You'll lead the rollout and optimisation of Tamr, develop robust data governance frameworks, and collaborate with teams across Analytics, Finance, IT and Operations to embed MDM practices into everyday workflows.

This role will suit someone who thrives at the intersection of technology, governance and business enablement, with the confidence to influence at all levels and turn complex data concepts into practical business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation and governance of the MDM framework using Tamr.

  • Create and maintain a "single source of truth" for key business entities.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to identify data domains, resolve quality issues and define integration needs.

  • Embed MDM principles into business processes and champion data ownership and stewardship across the organisation.

  • Establish and enforce data governance standards to ensure compliance, consistency and quality.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align MDM with reporting, analytics and integration strategies.

  • Manage relationships with key vendors and technology partners.

  • Monitor performance, adoption, and ROI of MDM initiatives and report progress to leadership.

What You'll Bring

  • Proven experience leading Master Data Management or Data Governance initiatives.

  • Hands-on experience with Tamr or similar AI/ML-driven MDM tools.

  • Strong understanding of data modelling, integration and data quality principles.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical domains.

  • Experience designing and implementing data governance frameworks.

  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP).

Desirable:

  • Background in recruitment or professional services.

  • Knowledge of CRM/ATS systems and their integration with MDM platforms.

  • Experience with Power BI, SQL or Python for data validation and reporting.

  • Exposure to Microsoft Fabric.

What's on Offer

  • A genuine opportunity to build and own the organisation's MDM vision from the ground up.

  • A collaborative, forward-thinking culture where data excellence is at the heart of decision-making.

  • Investment in your professional growth, with opportunities for certification and training in MDM and data governance.
