Project Manager, New Business Transformation, London

Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 DOE Location: London, UK Contract: 12-month FTC

The Role

We're working with a leading insurance business to find a Project Manager for their New Business Transformation team in London. This is a 12-month FTC paying circa £60,000, depending on experience.

You'll support the delivery of new business projects, coordinating change from initiation through to implementation. Working across business and third-party teams, you'll manage day-to-day project activity, dependencies, risks and stakeholder engagement to help new propositions, processes and operational capabilities land successfully and transition smoothly into business as usual.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Producing PIDs, project plans, timelines, milestones and deliverables for new business initiatives, including all required governance
  • Coordinating business, operational, technology and third-party activity to deliver projects to agreed scope, time and budget
  • Managing risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies tied to product launch, process change and operational readiness, escalating where needed
  • Leading project governance, status reporting and stakeholder communications across sponsors, business teams and delivery partners
  • Managing third-party suppliers and delivery partners, with clear accountability and performance oversight against milestones, scope and quality
  • Ensuring project outputs support business readiness, customer outcomes, control requirements and quality standards
  • Working cross-functionally with distribution, operations, compliance and technology to remove blockers and keep delivery on track
  • Supporting implementation, post-launch review, lessons learned and handover into business as usual

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience delivering business change or new business projects from initiation to implementation in a structured environment
  • Strong planning, organisation and prioritisation skills, with genuine attention to detail
  • Experience managing risks, issues, dependencies, budgets, resources and implementation activity across multiple stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable reporting to and coordinating with senior stakeholders
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority
  • Good working knowledge of project management tools and MS Office
  • Solid understanding of life insurance products and new business processes, with awareness of customer, operational, regulatory and delivery impacts

Desirable

  • PRINCE2, APM or PMP certification
  • Experience with new business, product, proposition, distribution or operational change projects in insurance or financial services
  • Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery approaches
  • Experience in a regulated insurance or financial services environment
  • Commercial awareness, including supplier governance and third-party management in complex delivery settings
