Procurement Business Analyst - SAP Ariba - 6 months (inside IR35)

Overview

Oliver James has partnered with a leading financial services organisation to recruit a Procurement / Sourcing Product Analyst on a contract basis.

This role sits within Group Sourcing and Supplier Management and focuses on improving how sourcing operates across the business. You'll play a key role in designing and embedding sourcing processes within SAP Ariba, working end-to-end from requirements through to testing and rollout.

This is not a traditional procurement role - it's suited to someone with a blend of procurement, process design, and systems change experience, operating in a hands-on delivery capacity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the design and continuous improvement of end-to-end sourcing processes (BSP)
  • Translate business requirements into process and system changes within SAP Ariba
  • Work closely with procurement, supplier management, and business stakeholders to improve sourcing workflows
  • Lead or support requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation
  • Contribute to the sourcing product roadmap and change pipeline delivery
  • Support system and UAT testing for new processes and enhancements
  • Develop user guidance, templates, and training materials
  • Ensure processes align with regulatory, risk, and governance frameworks

Essential Skills

  • Strong experience working with SAP Ariba, specifically:
    • Sourcing
    • Contract Workspace
    • Supplier Lifecycle & Performance (SLP)
  • Proven experience delivering process and/or system change within procurement or sourcing functions
  • Experience across:
    • Process design and redesign
    • Requirements definition and management
    • UAT / system testing
    • Creating user guidance and documentation
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills across business and technology teams
  • Ability to operate in a hands-on, delivery-focused contractor role

Desirable Skills

  • Experience within financial services or other regulated environments
  • Exposure to tools such as SAP Enable Now or ServiceNow
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments
  • Strong data analysis skills to support decision-making
  • Previous experience supporting sourcing or procurement product teams
